PANO – A large number of youths in Ho Chi Minh City (HCM City) participated in the programme “Green Sunday” with the topic “For a civilized and developed city”, on the morning of March 17th.

The programme was launched and mobilized by local youth organizations.

Youths participated in various activities such as: planting and caring trees in residential quarters, schools and offices, as well as along cannels and roads.

Students at universities and colleges cleaned up their hostels, learning facilities and universities, and disseminated the public the use of clean energy and saving of natural resources and water.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Committee, Le Quoc Phong said: “This is the 99th Green Sunday local youth organizations have organized. These activities aim to improve public awareness of environmental protection and build a civilized urban lifestyle for local youths and people.”
