Speaking at the event, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Bui Thanh Liem said to date, the program has presented 20,000 flags to Dak Nong province.

On the occasion, 100 scholarships worth 1 million VND (42.4 USD) each were presented to impoverished students in Tuy Duc and Krong No districts.

Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Deputy Chairwoman of provincial People’s Committee, described the flags from the program as meaningful presents to the armed forces, soldiers and people in the district’s border areas, contributing to supporting them in firmly safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and border security.

With four border districts, Dak Nong shares a borderline of about 141km with Cambodia’s Moldunkiri province.
