The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and head of the organizing panel of the contest; Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education; and Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Following the success of the first event, which was organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics in 2021, the second writing contest was expanded in size and raised to the national level under the direction of the Party Central Committee’s Steering Board 35. Many units and localities launched extensive contests with innovative and effective methods, such as the Central Military Commission (with three qualifying rounds from the grassroots to the whole-military levels), the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and so on.
After more than 8 months of launching, the contest received 116,252 entries. There were 15 units that sent over 1,000 works to the contest, typically the Central Military Commission with 56,243 articles. The organizing panel evaluated and carefully considered each work, and selected 102 best works for the awards. Fifty two works were selected to be honored in the magazine category, including 7 A, 10 B, 15 C and 20 consolation prizes.

In the newspaper category, the organizing panel handed over 5 A, 10 B, 15 C, and 20 consolation prizes to outstanding works. In addition, the organizers also presented 20 prospect prizes to good articles of groups and individuals.
At the end of the ceremony, the organizing panel launched the third writing contest on protecting the Communist Party of Vietnam’s ideological foundation and fighting against wrongful and hostile viewpoints.
