A team from Hue University of Foreign Languages won the first prize at a language contest at the final round of the “Dynamic 2012” in French held by the Association of Universities of the Francophonie (AUF) in Vientiane, Laos.
A Lao group also won first prize in the talent contest with the play “Bun Pi May Tradition”.
The final round of the “Dynamic 2012” drew 30 students from the Lao National University, the Phnom Penh Law-Economy Royal University, the Cambodia Technology Institute, and the Can Tho and Hue Foreign Languages Universities.
The participants competed in two categories of “Language knowledge” and “Talent”. Namely, they had to answer all questions of the contest’s jury under the theme “Let’s play with words” and perform a short traditional play in French.
The event created a playground to regional students to exchange and share their French knowledge as well as introduce their outstanding cultural features and was a meaningful event in response to the International Francophone Day 2012.
