PANO - The 2015 Vietnamese Internet Day, themed “Internet of things”, to be held on November 19th in Hanoi by the Vietnam Internet Association, will be a good opportunity for the online community, enterprises and related organizations to exchange experience and seek cooperation opportunities.

At the event, the newest internet products at home and abroad will be showcased and there will be lectures on the internet, technology and telecoms.

Considered as special external relations work, the day is hoped to help build an ASEAN Community of technology. It is hoped that the Vietnamese Internet Day will send a positive message of a Vietnam which is open to dialogue and development, and will contribute to a dynamic ASEAN community.

Big groups and companies, such as VNPT, FPT, Viettel, Mobifone, CMC, Google, Qualcomm, Samsung, Ericsson, ZTE, are hoped to actively participate in the event.

40 per cent of the Vietnamese population are internet users. Vietnam is one of the fastest internet developing nations in the world. Interestingly, SMAC (social, mobile, analytics and cloud) initiatives in Vietnam have brought about smart development trends in many fields. Especially, the “Internet of things” ideas and products have come into being, including smart home and control equipment for domestic use.
