A visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport holders signed between the Governments of Vietnam and Myanmar will take effect from October 26.
According to the document, the two countries’ citizens who hold ordinary passports valid for at least six months will not require visas for stays of up to 14 days in each other’s territories. Those who want to stay more than 14 days will have to apply for a visa.
Vietnam’s ordinary passport holders can now enter the other nine ASEAN member countries without a visa.
