Vietnam and Russia to set up university of humanities

PANO - The Vietnam-Russia and Russia-Vietnam Friendship Associations, on November 13th worked with the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law and the Hanoi University of Business and Technology on the establishment of the Russia-Vietnam University of Humanities in Russia.
Present at the event were Ph.D., Professor Vladimir Pemrovich Buyanov, Rector of the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law cum Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, and Professor Tran Phuong, Rector of the Hanoi University of Business and Technology.
At the meeting, the two sides have agreed to establish a Russian language department, which later will be developed into a Russian language centre under the Russia-Vietnam University of Humanities.
In the summer 2014, the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law will invite 15 students to study in Russia and send its teachers to teach Russian in Vietnam.
According to the plan, after the first two years studying in Vietnam, Vietnamese students will continue their study in Russia.
In the next term, the Hanoi University of Business and Technology will send students to the Moscow Academy of Economics and Law and its partner schools, if the cooperation works out well.
After the conference, managers of the two sides will meet again to discuss further details on the establishment of the Russia-Vietnam University of Humanities, said Vladimir Pemrovich Buyanov.
