In his address, N.A. Chairman Man, who is also a Politburo member and Secretary of the N.A. Party Committee, said that the committee, with nearly 3,000 members, must maintain strict organizational principles and build a clean and strong Party organization that promotes solidarity, democracy, responsibility, unity, and creativity, highlighting each member’s responsibility for setting good examples, embracing innovation in working methods, and comprehensively implementing the entrusted missions in the spirit of “being decisive, determined, and committed to achieving results.”

He underscored to need to intensify anti-corruption efforts, combat negative phenomena and wastefulness, while enhancing inspection and supervision effectiveness. Besides, he emphasized the importance of the preparation for the party congresses at all levels within the N.A. Party Committee, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

He directed the committee to focus on effective law making and improvement in 2025 as well as Party General Secretary To Lam’s guidance on fundamentally reforming legislative thinking, seeing this a breakthrough in institutional perfection that lays the groundwork for the 16th term.

The immediate priority is to successfully organize the 9th extraordinary session and the 9th and 10th regular sessions, while actively implementing the adopted laws and resolutions, carrying out the 2026 law and ordinance building program, and making adjustment to the 2025 program, among others.

Regarding the rearrangement of the N.A.’s organizational structure, N.A. Chairman Man stressed that the work must be made in accordance with the Party Central Committee’s directives and conclusions, ensuring uninterrupted operations. Additionally, related laws and resolutions must be amended and supplemented.

The N.A. Party Committee must also reform oversight activities to ensure comprehensiveness and synchronization from policy development to implementation, he said, highlighting the need for flexibility and responsiveness to major socio-economic issues of public concerns.

The top legislator stated that the committee must work to direct the implementation of the parliament’s political missions in a comprehensive and effective manner, contributing to successfully deliver on the nation’s targets, including achieving economic growth above 8% and making decisions on major infrastructure projects like the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway, metro line projects in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant.

With determination and creativity, he expressed his confidence that the N.A. Party Committee would successfully fulfill its 2020-2025 mission, helping propel the Vietnam into a new era – that of the nation’s rise.
