Thai Airways is observing a research on market and international passengers’ needs in Da Nang city to have decision on exploring flights from Bangkok to this tourist and economic center of Vietnam. This information was announced by General Manager of Thai Airways in Vietnam, Narinthorn Purnagupta.

According to Narinthorn, Da Nang city with its rapid development speed, various resorts and hotels of international standard, would be a wonderful destination for tourists to combine conference and tourism (MICE) and would be the third destination of Thai Airways in Vietnam after Hanoi and HCMC.

The Thai Airways’ repressentative in Vietnam further said that foreign tourists to Da Nang can attract visitors Hoi An, Hue, My Son which are well-known tourism destinations in the Central of Vietnam and also attract international and domestic investors to various industrial zones. This instigated the Thai Airways to consider opening new air route to Da Nang City.

Thai Airways will open Bangkok-Da Nang air routes after THAI Smile starts its flights on beginning of July 2012. THAI Smile is a traditional airline supplying tickets at cheap price.
