At 1am on July 17th, more than 70 troops and militiamen put out a blaze, which broke out on the afternoon of July 16 in Thanh Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province.
Later at about 12:30pm on July 17, fire occurred in two hectares of the acacia and eucalyptus forest in Hoa Son town, Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province. Local authorities mobilized 95 people including 25 troops and militiamen to extinguish the fire, and it was under control at 2pm.
