More than 300 images and worthy exhibits on display feature three topics of the epic of the historical autumn, keeping the oath of independence, and the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam since 1975.

Notably, many objects are on show to the public for the first time, such as President Ho Chi Minh’s letter to the people before the General Uprising in August 1945; leather wallets, cloth bags, leaflets, whetstones and rifles used by troops and people during the General Uprising; and finally a musical instrument used by the military band at the flag-raising ceremony at Ba Dinh Square on September 2nd, 1945.

The exhibition, ending in late September, also showcases many original filed photos of the preparations for the General Uprising in localities nationwide, and our troops and people’s feats of arms in the anti-French and American resistance wars.
