The visits reflected the good traditional friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
Specifically, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu met with senior Cambodian leaders such as Im Chhun Lim, President of the Constitutional Council of Cambodia; Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF).

During these meetings, Vu extended his best wishes for the New Year to the leaders, officials, and staff of Cambodian agencies. He also expressed gratitude for the significant and valuable support that Cambodia has extended to Vietnam and its people over the years.
Emphasizing his belief in cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including defense, trade, investment, and tourism, the ambassador said he hopes that cooperation in combating transnational crime will continue to be strengthened. He encouraged both sides to enhance collaborative activities, particularly in human resource training.
In discussions with the RCAF leaders, Vu called on Cambodian military units to continue assisting and cooperating with Vietnam to effectively search for, and repatriate remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Cambodia.
For their parts, the Cambodian officials affirmed that Vietnam and Cambodia are brotherly neighboring countries that always stand shoulder to shoulder and support each other in all circumstances. They also thanked the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam, especially the Vietnam People's Army, for helping Cambodia overthrow the genocidal Pol Pot regime and rebuild the country.
On the occasion of Cambodia's 2025 traditional New Year, many Vietnamese agencies, units, and localities have sent delegations to extend New Year greetings to Cambodian leaders and people.
