Speaking at the event, Colonel Richard Ruiz Álvarez, IESEOFANB Deputy Director, expressed his admiration for the great achievements of the Vietnam People's Army in the resistance wars against foreign invaders and in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Mentioning the VPA’s achievements, he praised the role and contribution of the legendary General Vo Nguyen Giap, an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh and the first commander of the Vietnam Dissemination and Liberation Armed Team. In addition, the general made great contribution to the formation and development of Vietnam's military doctrine, which is the people's war strategy, using justice to defeat brutality.

Ambassador My and Senior Colonel Vu The Trung, Vietnam's Defense Attaché in Venezuela, also answered many questions, helping IESEOFANB students better understand the situation in Vietnam, the achievements of the renewal cause, the foreign policy as well as defense policy of Vietnam, and the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela, especially as the two countries are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (December 18, 1989 - 2024).
