Activities held in Cambodia to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 135th birthday
The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia on May 19 held a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - 2025).
The event saw the presence of staff at the embassy, representatives of the Vietnam Business Association in Cambodia and the Khmer-Vietnam Association in Cambodia, and Vietnamese students.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu recalled the great contribution of President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnamese people. He stated that the year 2025 marks the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, and other major celebrations of Vietnam including the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2025), the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025).
These glorious historical milestones of the nation are associated with President Ho Chi Minh - the national liberation hero and the outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam, who created the glorious Ho Chi Minh era, he said.
On the same day, the Vietnamese Consulates General in Battambang and Preah Sihanouk provinces also held incense offering ceremonies to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
Previously, on May 18, the Khmer-Vietnamese Association in Cambodia held a ceremony to mark the leader's birthday at its headquarters in Phnom Penh.
