Memorial and burial service held for fallen soldiers in Kon Tum
PANO - The authorities and the armed forces of Kon Tum city held a memorial and burial service on October 29 for a martyr at the Kon Tum provincial War Cemetery.

Earlier on October 18, while digging a well, at a depth of about 1 meter, the family of Vu Thi Thu from group 2, Duy Tan ward, Kon Tum city discovered a hammock and bones. The family then reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the city Military Command sent troops to the scene for verification. During the search, the force found a set of remains of a martyr carefully wrapped in a hammock. The remains were intact, without any artifacts, and have not yet been verified.

At the memorial and burial service, Vice Chairwoman of the Kon Tum city People’s Committee Duong Thi Hanh affirmed that this is a sacred and noble task showing the gratitude and responsibility of the authority, people, and the armed forces of the city for fallen soldiers who bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation.
