Besides, local authorities directed the armed forces to ensure political security and social order, and traffic safety in the district and mobilized militiamen to the scene to take measures to overcome the landslides’ consequences, while transporting food to the flood-hit victims.
Mu Cang Chai district’s Military Command also sent 12 troops and 280 militiamen to implement search and rescue missions in the three communes of Lao Chai, Khao Mang, and Ho Bon.
At 6:00 on August 10, in Khao Mang commune, 15 households were moved to safe places.
More than 120 militiamen from the communes of Che Cu Nha, Mo De, and De Xu Phinh, and six troops of the Mu Cang Chai ditrict’s Military Comand were present in Ho Bon commune to conduct search and rescue missions and overcome flood consequences.
On the same day, a mission of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Deputy Director of the Department of Search and Rescue Major General La Dai Phong visited Yen Bai to grasp the situation and direct the provincial armed forces to support flood-hit victims.
