At 1:15 p.m. the same day, Anh was quickly brought by the crew-members on trawler numbered BTh 97471 TS to Tien Nu Island (Pigeon Reef). When being hospitalized, the victim was in headache, tinnitus, numbness, paralysis on the left side of the body with blood pressure of 180/100mmHg.

Immediate, the center’s doctors provided Mr. Anh with antihypertensive drugs and then took him to Truong Sa Island for further treatment.

In Truong Sa Island, military medical staff had a telemedical consultancy with medical experts of Military Hospital 175. They were required to give the patient nutrition supplements, maintain intravenous lines, monitor his consciousness, and strictly control his target blood pressure.

Currently, the patient is awake, in good contact, responsive to stimuli and continues being quarantined in a separate area of Truong Sa archipelago for treatment.

The reception and provision of emergency aid for the fisherman were carried out in line with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
