Over 6 million people receive free health check-ups and treatment
PANO – The Central Steering Committee for the coordination program of humanitarian check-ups and healthcare for the community wrapped up its performance in the 2014-2017 period in Hanoi on January 11.

The program is co-organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Ministry of Health, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, and the Vietnam Young Doctors’ Association.
Over the past years, the program actively mobilized medical personnel to provide more than 13,400 free check-ups and medicines, worth around VND 1.3 trillion, to six million people, including the poor, across the country.
On this occasion, individuals and organizations with outstanding achievements in ensuring healthcare for the community received merit certificates from the Prime Minister, the VPA’s General Department of Politics, the Ministry of Health, and the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Central Committee.
