Island infirmary gives emergency aid to troubled fisherman
PANO - Doctors of the Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island Infirmary in Truong Sa district, Khanh Hoa province, received and gave emergency aid to a fisherman suffering from a brain stroke at 6:30 a.m. on May 2.
Earlier, at about 3:00 p.m. on May 1, fisherman Nguyen Nho, a crew-member of Ship QNa 91379 TS from Tam Giang commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province, suffered from headache, fatigue, lisp, and right hemiplegia while fishing at sea.

When the patient was taken to Song Tu Tay Island by fishermen of Ship QNa 91379 TS for emergency, he was under severe conditions of consciousness and disorder, right hemiplegia, lisp and high blood pressure of 230/120mmHg.
After receiving health consultancy from Central Military Hospital 108 and giving diagnosis to the patient, the military doctors of the island infirmary concluded that the fisherman had a brain stroke. Doctors gave the patient antihypertensive drugs, placed an intravenous line, and closely monitored the patient's hemodynamics and respiration.
Currently, the patient is in a temporal stable condition. The island infirmary continues to collaborate with Central Military Hospital 108 to closely monitor his health.
