Incense offered to heroic martyrs in Dien Bien and Naval Region 4
PANO - A mission from Military Region 2, led by its Deputy Political Commissar Major General Nguyen Hong Thai, offered flowers and incense to heroic martyrs at A1 National War Cemetery in Dien Bien Phu city, on January 6.
The mission was joined in by Mrs. Giang Thi Hoa, permanent member of the provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council.

They expressed a token of gratitude to late President Ho Chi Minh, late General Vo Nguyen Giap, heroic martyrs, officers and soldiers of the armed forces, young volunteers, conscripted workers and people who sacrificed their lives on Dien Bien Phu battlefield, contributing to the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7, 1954. The victory was a brilliant milestone in the history and an immortal epic of the nation.
Also on January 6, the Naval Region 4 Command held a ceremony to offer incense and flowers at the command’s Hall of Fame, the monument dedicated to Gac Ma soldiers, and the monument in commemoration of Cam Ranh prisoners of war.

The offering ceremony, co-chaired by Chief of the Naval Region 4 Command Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Command Captain Bui Xuan Binh, took place one day ahead of the command’s reception of the title of the Hero of the People’s Armed Forces in the renewal process.
The activity in gratitude of the great contribution by heroic martyrs helped educate naval officers and soldiers and promote their patriotism and revolutionary will.
Earlier, the command’s leaders and other delegates paid tribute to Grand Dude Tran Quoc Tuan, late President Ho Chi Minh, late General Vo Nguyen Giap and heroic martyrs.
