Before giving blood, donors had their health checked, and blood pressure measured.

At the end of the festival, nearly 120 units of blood were collected. All the collected blood was later transferred to the blood bank of Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Blood Transfusion and Hematology to meet the needs of emergency aid and treatment for patients.

According to the organizers, during the festive day, awareness of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of District 3 and local people of the humane meaning of blood donation was raised, spreading the spirit of donating blood to save lives in the community.

Under the call of the Party Committee and Chain-of-Command of District 3’s Military Command, troops actively participated in the blood donation event and encouraged their relatives to join in with the spirit of “A drop of blood given, a life saved,” contributing to beautifying the image and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers and of militia troops in the heart of the people.
