GS’s delegation cares for AO victims
PANO - On the occasion of the lunar New Year 2022, a delegation of the General Staff (GS), led by Deputy Chief of the GS’s Department of Political Affairs Senior Colonel Hoang Van Tiep, visited and presented gifts to the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxin (VAVA) on January 12.
At the event, Senior Colonel Hoang Van Tiep congratulated VAVA on its achievements over the past time, especially in the organization of the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam AO/Dioxin Disaster Day and taking care of AO victims.
Reportedly, the GS and its Department of Political Affairs have always supported the VAVA in many activities, especially on the occasion of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day and the Day for AO/dioxin victims (August 10).
For his part, VAVA’s Vice President Lieutenant General Dang Nam Dien thanked the GS for their support to the association in general and AO victims in particular.
He also hoped that in the coming time, the association would receive more assistance from the GS’s party committee and chains-of-command, as well as relevant units, so as to best perform all assigned missions of the Party and State, further taking care of AO victims.
