The visit was made on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2025).

Inquiring after the wounded and sick soldiers, Gen. Cuong expressed his special sentiments and deepest gratitude to them and other heroic martyrs for their sacrifice of lives and contribution of youth to the national independence and freedom. He hoped that they would continue to promote the traditions of the heroic People’s Army, good qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, live a healthy and happy life and set an example for younger generations to follow.

The defense leader confirmed that generations of military officers and soldiers always remember the older generations’ dedication and have been carrying out practical activities as profound gratitude to those who fought for the national independence and contributed to Fatherland construction and protection.

He expressed deep thanks to the center’s cadres and staff for their responsible and whole-hearted care for the wounded and sick soldiers as family members. He asked the provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, sectors, departments, armed forces to continue spiritual and material care for wounded, sick soldiers, policy beneficiaries, and national contributors.

Gen. Cuong presented the center an ambulance and a number of gifts to facilitate the center’s task performance. Leaders of Military Region 3 Command and local units and authorities also presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers.

On the occasion, the mission visited and handed over funds to build, repair houses of gratitude and great unity and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families in Tien Son ward, Ninh Binh province.
