Deputy Chief of General Staff commemorates fallen soldiers in Nghe An province
PANO – A mission, led by Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, offered incense to fallen soldiers at the Vietnam-Laos International War Cemetery in Anh Son district, Nghe An province on December 7.

At the cemetery, members of the mission expressed their deep gratitude to fallen soldiers who sacrificed themselves for national independence and freedom and for the noble international service in Laos.
On the occasion, General Tan handed over the Central Military Commission’s and Defense Ministry’s gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, martyrs’ relatives, and wounded and sick soldiers in Anh Son district.
Highlighting their great contributions to national independence and freedom, Tan hoped that heroic Vietnamese mothers, martyrs’ relatives, and wounded and sick soldiers will overcome difficulties and hardships, promote education of tradition for young generations, encourage their children to develop household economy and build happy families.

On the occasion, the Military Region 4 Command presented gifts to five policy beneficiaries in the district.
The practical activities were held prior to the 75th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 30th anniversary of the whole people’s defense festive day.
