Construction of a civilian bridge begins in Ha Giang
PANO – The Military Youth Advisory Board, the Departments of Political Affairs under Military Region 2 and the Vietnam Border Guard Command in collaboration with the Ha Giang Provincial Youth Union, the Charity Group of Truong Sa HQ571-2014, the An Phuc Charity Club, the Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association, and the Military Institute of Traditional Medicine held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a civilian bridge, named Phuc An 03, in Ha Giang province on December 4.
The event was part of the “Winter Voluntary” program and social affairs activities held by the Military Youth Advisory Board in celebration of the 78th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 33rd anniversary of the Whole-people Defense Festive Day, the 50th anniversary of the “Hanoi – Dien Bien Phu in the air” Victory, and the 12th National Youth Union Congress.

Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board Senior Colonel Tran Viet Nang held that his unit has collaborated with sponsors and relevant units to implement numerous social welfare activities across the country.

In Ha Giang province, the Military Youth Advisory Board and relevant forces began the construction of two schools in Quan Ba and Meo Vac districts, worth VND 650 million in total; provided health check-ups, medical consultation and free medicines for about 500 people; and presented 100 sets of gifts, worth VND 500,000 each, he said.

Senior Colonel Tran Viet Nang noted that the gifts and constructions displayed the sharing of the sponsors and the military youths with people in remote and mountainous areas.

The same day, the delegation of the Military Youth Advisory Board offered incense in tribute to heroic martyrs at the Martyrs Memorial Site of Height 468 in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province.
