Alongside their training and combat readiness duties, they regularly collaborate with local authorities to visit fishing ports, distributing leaflets, legal documents, and national flags, as well as donating life jackets, survival kits, and medical supplies to fishermen.

These activities have significantly raised the fishermen’s awareness of the strategic importance of Vietnam’s sea and islands. Fishermen are better informed about key aspects of the Law of the Sea of Vietnam and regulations on fishing activities. This has helped build a "people’s heart" posture at sea, contributing to encouraging fishermen to work closely with naval forces to firmly safeguard the sovereignty of the national sea and islands.
