Addressing the event, Gen. Quyet affirmed that over the past 80 years of construction and development, in any cases, the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) has always been loyal to the Party, State and people, tried its best to serve the Fatherland and people, deserving President Ho Chi Minh’s saying: “Maintaining and promoting the nature of being loyal to the Party and the people, ready to sacrifice their own lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism and for the happiness of the people. The VPA will fulfill any tasks, overcome any difficulties and defeat any enemies.”

The image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers is considered the noble virtue of a revolutionary soldier which has been developed during the cause of military establishment and development over the past time.
According to Gen. Quyet, in the current context, the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers have been promoted via an emulation campaign themed “Promoting tradition, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers,” contributing to boosting the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle in the military Party Committee and the whole military. It has also shown the creativeness of the Central Military Commission (CMC), Ministry of National Defense (MND) and GDP in their leadership, and the tribute paid to Uncle Ho. The revolutionary and heroic traditions of the military have been preserved and promoted among troops.

Affirming the importance of the seminar, Gen. Quyet requested the organizing board to collect delegates’ comments to make recommendations to the Party, State, CMC, MND, and GDP to uphold and promote virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, bolster the movement of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle, Resolution No.847 on promoting the virtues of Uncle Ho's soldiers and resolutely fighting individualism in the new situation. Besides, units inside and outside the military should closely work together to disseminate information to raise public awareness of the importance of virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, to name but a few.
He also noted that the seminar provided a good opportunity for participants to share experience in leadership and raise the quality of task performance, and educate and train troops in line with the example of Uncle Ho and the assigned tasks.

More than 80 reports delivered at the event focused on analyzing the construction and development of the VPA as well as the military-civilian ties; the establishment of the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers and its values towards the development of the VPA. Delegates also pointed out the results and experience in promoting the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the whole military, while fighting wrongful viewpoints on the values of virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
In order to spread the noble values of the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the current context, delegates recommended many solutions, including raising troops’ awareness, promoting the leadership of the Party over the military; boosting the role of the political system and the whole people in preserving and promoting the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, to name but a few.
