After inspecting the unit's preparations for the upcoming defense external duties, the two leaders of Naval Region 4 spoke highly of the leadership and direction of the Party Committee and chains-of-command of Brigade 162 over the two frigates. The technical equipment of the frigates was well maintained, communication systems were fully operational, and the plan for the joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin was detailed, ensuring maritime safety. The two leaders encouraged troops to overcome difficulties and strictly observe discipline to successfully accomplish the mission.

Accordingly, Frigates 015-Tran Hung Dao and 016-Quang Trung will be tasked with taking a delegation to China to participate in activities within the framework of the ninth Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program and the 38th joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin with the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. This is a significant task contributing to deepening the cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two navies and further tightening the bilateral Vietnam - China defense relations in the time to come.
