Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang attended and delivered a speech at the event. Speaking at the event, Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board, underlined that over the past 70 years, under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the GDP, and the guideline of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, youth union organizations in the whole military have played an important role in youth movements and made great contribution to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Over the past time, the Military Youth Advisory Board has successfully completed all assigned missions such as giving recommendations to higher levels, conducting training programs for officers and youth union members, as well as promoting emulation movements in the whole military.
With its achievements and contribution, the board was honored with the Ho Chi Minh Order, first-class and second-class Fatherland Protection Orders, third-class Labor Order, nearly 900 individuals received the title “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces,” and various other noble awards.

Hailing the board’s achievements, rapid development, and glorious tradition, General Phan Van Giang asked Youth Union organizations to strictly and effectively carry out higher levels’ resolutions and directives on youth work.
He urged the units to promote emulation movements, build strong Youth Union organizations, so as to accomplish political missions of all units.
