Leading the CMC and MND mission, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, Director of the GDP, commended Divisions 367 and 370 under the Air Defense-Air Force Service for their all-out efforts to fulfil their 2017 missions.

Gen. Cuong noted that divisions should embrace their functions and missions as well as local developments while improving training and combat readiness ability as well as master assigned weapons and equipment.

They were also requested to embrace and effectively realize resolutions of higher levels in Party building, manage and make planning on cadres closely, precisely, objectively and democratically and handle violation cases strictly. 

As the Lunar New Year festival is coming, Gen. Cuong asked the units to manage closely troops’ thoughts, pay due attention to their daily lives and organize a joyful, safe and economical Tet with high maintenance of combat readiness duties as well as better the care for local beneficiaries and other national contributors.

On the occasion, Gen. Cuong presented Tet gifts to the units.

* Speaking highly of crime, smuggling and trade fraud prevention and control of the Border Post of Cau Treo International Border Gate and the Ha Tinh Provincial Border Guard Command, Sr. Lt. Gen. Le Chiem, Deputy-Defense Minister urged them to closely coordinate with other local forces, follow closely developments in the localities to effectively fight against crimes.

Gen. Chiem asked them to open peak prevention drives, improve troops’ political stance, realize all policies related to troops’ families and create best conditions for troops to feel assured at work.

* Having observed the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command’s Armored Company 74’s rehearsal of combat readiness shifting and checked combat readiness duties at Dak Lak Provincial Military Command and the provincial Border Guard Command, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy-Director of the GDP hailed their task performance in the past.

Regarding 2018 mission, Gen. Nghia requested them to embrace the Party, State, CMC and MND’s viewpoints on military-defense missions in the current period, bring into full play their strengths, fix shortcomings and well implement external defense service.

Gen. Nghia also handed over Tet gifts from the CMC and MND to units.

* In his visit to check combat readiness and Tet preparations at Regiment 2 of Division 395 and the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command under Military Region 3, Sr. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Phuong Nam, Deputy-Chief-of-the-General Staff applauded their good outcomes.

Gen. Nam tasked them to boost patrols and guard, ensure absolute safety, further practice plans on protecting key targets, carry out recruitments, and make a happy Tet for troops.

* Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Le Hien Van, Deputy-Director of the GDP extended Tet greetings to Naval Flotilla 129 of the Naval Service, Sub-Flotilla 301 of Coast Guard Region 3 Command, EC-225 Squadron of Brigade 954 of the Navy, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Border Guard Command and Reconnaissance Group No. 2 of the Coast Guard Command.

He also asked them to well perform focal tasks during Tet, ensure a happy Tet for troops and cooperate with local authorities to uphold political security and social order and safety in the stationed locality.
