Military units organize flag saluting ceremonies on lunar New Year
PANO – Many units in the whole military, on February 1, held flag saluting ceremonies on the occasion of the lunar New Year 2022.
* In Da Nang city, the Military Region 5 (MR5) Command organized a flag saluting ceremony for its troops.
During the event, Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Political Commissar of the region, delivered Tet greetings of the MR5 Command to the troops. Last year, despite the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the armed forces were determined to fulfill assigned missions with good results.

The delegation then offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap and fallen soldiers.
* The same day, the Nghe An provincial Border Guard Command also held a flag saluting ceremony in a solemn atmosphere.
On hearing the Tet greeting letter of the defense minister, the troops promoted determination to accomplish their assigned tasks in the New Year.
* A similar event was also held in the Thua Thien Hue provincial Military Command that was attended by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong.

Addressing the event, he applauded the unit’s great efforts in overcoming difficulties to fulfill military-defense tasks in 2021, requesting them to be ready in any circumstances, ensure combat readiness, and closely work with relevant forces in COVID-19 prevention and control as well as maintaining political security and social order during Tet and other important events of the country.
