This year, the Party committee and chain-of-command of Military Region 4 directed the affiliates to observe combat readiness regulations, take search and rescue and fire-fighting missions, conduct military exercises, closely follow local situational developments, and complete all assigned missions.
The military region agreed on nine key missions for 2020 and launched an emulation movement under the theme “Democracy, Unity, Intelligence, Discipline, Exemplary Model, and Determination to Win”.
At the conference, a number of groups received certificates of merit and emulation flags presented by the National Committee for Response to Incidents and Natural Disasters and Search and Rescue, the Ministry of National Defense and the Military Region 4 Command in recognition of their task performance.

Meanwhile, in 2019, the Artillery Corps embraced higher levels’ resolutions and directives, successfully implemented its key political tasks, and fulfilled all assignments. It also precisely predicted situations and gave recommendations to the Ministry of National Defense on organizing personnel and investing in equipment in line with the military-building project until 2020, the artillery-using plan and combat plans.
In 2020, the corps will do its utmost to complete its tasks.
On the basis of good task performance in 2019, the Commando Corps, the Signal Corps and the General Department of Technical Services will continue observing military discipline, maintaining regularity-building, being active in dealing with emerging issues, undertaking and fulfilling all assignments.
Attentively, the Signal Corps will ensure smooth communications for forces in action to safeguard the national sovereignty over seas, islands and border and those in charge of counter-terrorism while guaranteeing safety for events in the ASEAN Chairmanship Year 2020 of Vietnam and other important events of the country in 2020.
