The event saw the participation of Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the VPA’s General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister; Thanhchanh Malixay, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of Laos; and Lieutenant General Sidalo Chongtengdeya, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People’s Army.
Reports delivered at the ceremony underlined that over the past 30 years, the company has overcome numerous difficulties to combine economic development with defense-security missions, provide geographic information for training and combat readiness tasks of the armed forces, and become a reputable and leading enterprise in this field in Vietnam.

In addition, the company’s officers and workers have always improved their qualifications to implement hundreds of major projects for domestic and international clients. Therefore, the company's annual revenue exceeds VND 400 billion while per capita income has reached VND 14.5 million per month.
Besides, the company has also attached much importance to boosting international cooperation, such as organizing many scientific seminars, conducting specialized technology transfer to Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and building a Vietnam-Laos border map.
Especially, over the past years, the unit has effectively coordinated with the National Geographic Department of Laos and the Survey and Mapping Center under the Ministry of Home Affairs of Laos in this work.
On this occasion, SAMCOM was presented with the First-class Labor Order by the Lao State President, the Second-class Bravery Order by the Lao Defense Ministry, and a merit certificate from the Vietnamese Prime Minister.
Having hailed its outcomes, General Giang asked the company to further raise its staff’s competence, access new advanced technologies, and boost productivity in order to contribute to the development of the VPA in particular and the country in general.
