At the meeting, Senior Colonel Dinh Tien Dung, Deputy Political Chief of the institute, emphasized that the unit’s Youth Union Organization defines creative youth movement its key activity. This activity has received due attention and direction from the party committees and chains-of-command of the institute and its affiliates.

According to Colonel Dung, since 2011, the institute annually funds research projects of young cadres.  By 2019, the institute had spent over VND 9 billion for these projects. The fund has increased, at VND 1.1 billion in 2019, and VND 1.2 billion since 2020.

Among its 14 projects and initiatives sent to the award’s edition in 2020, two won the second, four the third, and four consolation prizes. Attentively, its winning projects have been effectively applied to reality, promoting their scientific, economic, defense and security values.

In the 22nd edition of the award, the institute has 10 projects and initiatives reviewed and approved by the institute-level scientific council. The council assessed that many works were studied meticulously, seriously, with a new and creative approach. In addition, they hold scientific values, propose new solutions, new advanced techniques with feasibility and good practical applicability.

On hearing research results by authors of projects and initiatives, the mission analyzed and gave comments to help them better their works.

The mission spoke highly of the institute’s leadership, direction and organization over the activities in response to the creative youth award. They suggested the institute enhance dissemination of information about the award, commend, honor and multiply outstanding collectives and individuals in a timely manner to encourage them to actively and creatively do scientific studies.
