A view of the event

The conference aimed to evaluate the results of the artillery and missile force’s task implementation, draw lessons learned, and set forth directions, tasks, and solutions to further enhance the overall quality and combat readiness capabilities of the force.

In 2024, the artillery and missile force conducted long field maneuvers, participated in exercises, and performed live-fire drills, completing assigned tasks effectively and ensuring safety. The reserve artillery force made significant changes in training and live-fire exercises.

The Artillery Officer Candidate School applied various measures to improve training quality, following the motto that “the quality of the school’s training is the unit's combat readiness capability.” Brigade 45 actively and proactively overcame difficulties to both conduct training and simultaneously participate in a firework display in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, receiving praise and awards from Ministry of National Defense leaders. These results confirm the force’s training quality, its mastery of weapons and equipment, and ability of coordinating with other services and corps in combat.

Speaking at the conference, General Nghia acknowledged and praised the artillery and missile force across the military for the obtained results. The deputy chief of the General Staff requested the force to continue training according to the basic programs for artillery units; master joint tactics and techniques; be proficient in specialized tactics and techniques; strengthen field training, night training, and long-distance mobility training; excel at camouflage, deception, concealing forces and equipment, and defending against and counterattacking high-tech firepower.
