Reportedly, last year, the two units strictly maintained combat readiness, ensured security during the country’s major events in the localities where they are stationed, and joined hands with other relevant forces to complete all missions.
In addition, they actively dealt with any circumstances related to social order along the shared borderline, closely observed construction projects in border areas, and conducted COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control work.
Concluding these visits, General Tien acknowledged the units’ achievements in implementing assigned tasks, especially regular missions and pandemic response missions.
The general asked the units to further raise combat readiness during the on-going 13th National Party Congress and the upcoming 2021 Lunar New Year (Tet).
Meanwhile, they were also requested to effectively work with local functional forces to ensure social order and security and further carry out measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
General Tien took this occasion to extend Tet greetings and hand over gifts to the two units.
