In his letter, General Phan Van Giang sent his congratulations and conveyed his best wishes to all doctors, staff, and employees in the military medical sector.
In 2023, under the leadership of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Party committees and authorities at all levels, together with the due attention of local authorities and people, and support of agencies and units outside and inside the military, the military medical personnel have promoted the good nature and glorious traditions of the heroic Vietnam People's Army in overcoming difficulties and challenges and fulfilling their missions.

Particularly, the military medical sector has well performed its mission of giving healthcare and treatment to troops and local people domestically, in neighboring countries, and at the U.N. Mission in South Sudan. Meanwhile, the military medical personnel actively engaged in conducting humanitarian assistance and earthquake disaster relief efforts in Turkey, contributing to beautifying the good virtues of Uncle Ho’s in the new period and making active contribution to building and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The defense minister praised the great efforts and achievements of the military medical troops over the past years and hoped that in 2024 and following years, they would continue to uphold their traditions and promote the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style,” the "Promoting traditions, devoting talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho's soldiers" campaign and other movements, to build a comprehensively strong, “typical and exemplary” military medical sector. He also encouraged them to fulfill their assigned tasks to deserve the trust and love of the Party, the State, and people.
In conclusion, General Phan Van Giang wished the military medical personnel good health, happiness, and more achievement.
