GDP Chief attends conference of MR4’s Party Committee

Military Region 4 asked to continue raising training quality

Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet attended and directed the conference.

In 2024, the Party Committee, MR4 Command closely coordinated with local authorities to comprehensively accomplish assigned missions. Particularly, MR4 strictly and effectively implemented resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party, State, Central Military Commission (CMC), Ministry of National Defense (MND) on military-defense tasks; maintained combat readiness observance and training activities; collaborated with the police and border guard forces to ensure political security and social order and safety, facilitating local socio-economic development.

Meanwhile, MR4 successfully organized exercises; actively engaged in natural disaster prevention and control and surmounting their aftermaths; deployed effective solutions to build politically strong MR4’s armed forces and a comprehensively-strong, "exemplary and typical" unit, among others.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet applauded typical achievements obtained by MR4 in 2024, requiring the region to continue to implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Central Committee on national defense strategy in the new situation, as well as resolutions, strategies, projects, laws on military and defense, and the Law on Civil Defense; and determine leadership policies and measures close to the reality.

Moreover, MR4 should strictly maintain combat readiness observance and enhance the quality of training and exercise; proactively coordinate with the police and border guard forces and other units to follow the situational development; well prepare plans, personnel and vehicles to deal with arising issues in a timely manner.

Also, the region should give recommendations to the CMC and MND to complete defense external affair work; strengthen friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos and build a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

The GDP chief requested MR4 to further enhance political and ideological education for officers and soldiers to raise their awareness of the task of Fatherland building and protection and defense reinforcement in the new situation.
