At the event, participants reviewed the association’s task performance in 2022 and discussed orientation and missions for next year. They also heard reports on the opinions contributed to the board’s draft political report and review report to submit to the seventh National Congress of Vietnam Veterans’ Association, and draft amendments to the association’s charter, plan on personnel for the 2022-2027 period.
This was the last meeting of the Executive Board of the sixth Vietnam Veterans’ Association Central Committee. During the meeting, big important contents and issues were debated and decided as good preparations for the upcoming 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans’ Association.

At the event, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duoc asked participants to promote spirit of responsibility, democracy and contribute quality opinions to reports and projects.
Participants agreed that this year, all members of the association have shown their trust in the Party’s leadership and renewal guideline. The association has actively and pro-actively cooperated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to give recommendations to local party committees and authorities to boost information dissemination, especially during the COVID-19 fight.
Also in the year, the association has effectively implemented programs to help poor members. Notably, more than 6,500 members have escaped poverty. The association’s affiliates have raised fund and presented 143,000 gifts, totally worth nearly VND 48 billion, to their needy members and policy beneficiary families. Moreover, they have contributed more than VND 83 billion to funds on natural disaster preventions and for the poor, victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, study encouragement, and more.
In his concluding speech, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duoc highly appreciated constructive opinions of the participants and asked the association’s authorized agencies to continue to review their duties and make thorough preparations for the success of the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans’ Association in the 2022-2027 period.
