Lt. Gen. Do Minh Xuong, Director of the Army Academy, presented a report of the academy’s achievements in 2024, emphasizing adherence to directives of the Party, Central Military Commission, and Ministry of National Defense on educational and training mission. He stressed on the academy’s ongoing efforts to renew training methods, prevent negative practices, enhance scientific research, and uphold military discipline observance.
For the 2021-2025 period, the Army Academy has received higher levels’ investments for 36 infrastructure projects, including barracks, firing ranges, training grounds, combat constructions, and information technology system, totaling over VND 1.1 trillion. Most projects have been completed on schedule, meeting quality standards and proving effective once operational.

In his remarks, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San commended the academy’s achievements, particularly in education, research, and Party building. He emphasized the need for continued focus on year-end tasks for 2024, and thorough preparation for upcoming Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th Congress of the Army Academy’s Party Organization in 2025. He also urged the academy to comprehensively renew its education and training activities and accelerate English and information technology training to meet the military’s needs. Furthermore, he asked the academy to improve the quality of life for its troops and build a more modern education establishment.

In terms of infrastructure development, Sr. Lt. Gen. Vu Hai San advised on strict monitoring of construction quality, ensuring safety, and efficient management. He directed a review of ongoing projects to complete investment procedures and expedite capital disbursement. The goal is to transform the Army Academy into a modern, smart educational establishment by 2030, with a vision for 2045, he concluded.
