The Tet greetings were given at the defense chief’s working session with these units on January 8 at the Military Region 7 Command.
In 2022, under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 7, units and schools in the region completed their duties. Many units excellently fulfilled their assignments and received high appreciation from the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense.
Together with raising the synergy, competence, and combat readiness capability, the units well performed political and ideological education work, promoted internal solidarity, actively engaged in ensuring local security and order, gave timely recommendations to deal with contingencies on land, in the air, at sea, and maintain a stable environment for national development.

In preparation for the upcoming lunar New Year 2023, the units have proactively guaranteed welfare for troops, and held ceremonies for troops having completed their military service. Troops have promoted spirit of pioneering in disease and disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, being present in arduous and dangerous places to protect people's lives and properties.
As the lunar New Year is drawing near, Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang wished troops good health, happiness, success and prosperity. He asked troops to bring into play good virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, overcome difficulties, raise political stance, quality of training, force-regularity building, observe military discipline, excellently complete all duties and build comprehensively-strong, exemplary and typical agencies and units.

The defense chief requested units to improve leadership competence, combat strength of party committees, party cells, and party cadres and members; effectively organize emulation and popularization programs; ensure a cozy, safe, and economical Tet festival for troops with high sense of combat readiness; and care for policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged families in the localities they are stationed during Tet.
