In the month, the whole military has mobilized more than 14,300 troops and militiamen, along with over 850 vehicles, to respond to disasters and mitigate their consequences, especially the sixth and seventh storms in Central provinces, aiding production recovery and stabilizing the lives of affected residents. Agencies and units have upheld strict discipline and paid attention to building comprehensive strong, exemplary, outstanding units. Over 46,700 individuals have received defense and security education. Such important events as the scientific seminar, titled “The General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army - 80 Years under the Party’s Flag” and the online quiz “The Vietnam People’s Army – 80 Years of Building, Fighting, and Maturing” have been successfully organized. As of November 25, 2024, the military had supported the construction of 12,863 houses, exceeding the planned target by 4,863.

International integration and defense diplomacy activities have been effectively organized, achieving positive results. Ministry leaders have participated in various diplomatic activities, contributing to the success of the international visits of Party and State leaders. The participation in the 5th ASEAN Chiefs of Army Multilateral Meeting (ACAMM-25) and the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet in the Philippines brought remarkable achievements, with the Vietnamese military contingent winning 45 gold, 16 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

Speaking at the event, Gen. Giang commended officers and soldiers in the whole military for the outstanding achievements and asked agencies and units to maintain combat readiness; manage airspace, sea, borders, inland areas, and cyberspace, particularly in strategic areas. He urged the whole military to accurately assess and forecast situations, thus making timely and effective recommendations to higher levels to effectively handle issues to firmly protect national sovereignty and security.
