Gen. Luong acknowledged and highly appreciated the units for their well observance of combat readiness regulations, good preparations for the upcoming lunar New Year for troops, and their care for troops’ families.

The deputy defense minister noted that the units should strictly organize safe, economical, and high-combat readiness New Year celebration activities and well promote solidarity between troops and people. He urged units in border areas to strengthen patrol to maintain security to ensure that local people will have a happy and safe Tet.

Since the lunar New Year is coming, Gen. Luong hoped the units’ troops to continue to stay united and excellently fulfill assigned missions.

The same day, Gen. Luong and the delegation visited units in border areas in Tay Ninh province, including standing border militia checkpoints in Chau Thanh district, Border Post of Phuoc Tan Border Gate of the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command. The delegation also inquired after and handed over Tet gifts to members of residential areas adjacent to border militia checkpoints in Tay Ninh province.
