According to Senior Colonel Tran Nguyen Lai, Second-in-command and Chief of the Staff of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, the exercise was one of the tasks listed in the unit’s annual training plan.

Practicing live-fire shooting at sea

The exercise was divided into four phases, namely shifting the unit to higher combat readiness statuses, preparing for operations, conducting operations, and using equipped guns and artillery firepower to destroy targets at sea.

Reportedly, troops strictly followed the orders of their commanding officers and observed regulations, ensuring absolute safety in terms of personnel, weaponry, and technical equipment. They got flying results in shooting lessons.

During the exercise

At the end of the exercise, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command presented merit certificates to five collectives and 13 individuals for their outstanding results.
