At the event, delegates evaluated that in 2022 under the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committees of MR3 and agencies and units in the military region’s armed forces, in collaboration with local Party committees and authorities, have led the military region’s armed forces to overcome difficulties and stay united to comprehensively accomplish all assigned missions.

Notably, agencies and units under the military region have strictly maintained combat readiness, reviewed and adjusted combat readiness plan, closely followed and accurately forecast situational development, and handled circumstances in a timely manner. The quality of education and training, exercises, and competitions has been enhanced.
In the year, MR3’s Party Committee has actively cooperated with local Party committees and authorities to lead agencies and units comprehensively accomplish all local military and defense missions. The military region’s armed forces have well promoted its role in building the whole people’s defense posture in combination with the whole people’s security posture, facilitating socio-economic development.
Regarding missions in 2023, MR3’s Party Committee will focus on leading agencies and units to well carry out resolutions and plans on streamlining the Vietnam People’s Army in the 2021 – 2030 period and the years to come. The military region will also pay attention to raising leadership ability and combat readiness capacity of Party organizations and building the military region’s Party Committee politically, ideologically, morally, and organizationally strong.
Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, who is a member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff, and Deputy Defense Minister, praised the military region’s armed forces for its outcomes over the past time.
The Chief of the General Staff asked the Party Committee to direct agencies and units to closely follow situational development and make timely recommendations to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to effectively handle issues, especially in key areas, sea, and islands.
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong emphasized the need to strictly observe combat readiness regulations, prepare vehicles and forces to conduct missions, and enhance the quality of militia force. In addition, the military region should work closely with local Party committees and authorities to build firm people’s heart posture and security posture, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development in the northern region.
