Leader of Regiment 726 briefed the delegation on its performance of the socio-economic development missions; and on maintaining political security and social order in Quang Truc and Quang Tam communes (Tuy Duc district, Dak Nong province) where the unit is stationed. Meanwhile, the unit has been active in performing production activities such as reclaiming land for production and planting over 1,000ha of coffee, avocado, and macadamia trees.
As a result, the unit has created jobs for nearly 1,200 local people, built 11 “great unity” houses, and provided free health checkups for over 4,400 people in 2016.
Speaking at the event, Dieu KRe hailed the achievements of the regiment over the past time, highlighting their effective contribution to stabilizing local people’s lives and maintaining political security in border areas. He also asked the unit to continue implementing Resolution 520 of the Central Military Commission on the tasks of production and economic construction and work with local units and authorities in maintaining local political security and social order.
