Brigade 971 transports field rations for disaster relief efforts in Myanmar
PANO - On March 30, Brigade 971 of the Department of Vehicles and Machinery and Transportation (under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services), coordinated with the Joint Stock Company No.22 (also under the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services) to transport relief food supplies to Noi Bai International Airport in preparation for humanitarian aid efforts in earthquake-stricken Myanmar.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Trung Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Joint Stock Company No.22, stated, “Upon receiving directives from the leadership of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services regarding the provision of field rations for relief efforts in Myanmar, our company thoroughly inspected the current stock and ensured compliance with food safety standards before dispatching. Additionally, we mobilized our staff to assist in the transportation process, ensuring timely delivery as instructed.”
According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Ha, Deputy Commanding Officer and Chief of Staff of Brigade 971, upon receiving orders from the leadership of the Department of Vehicles and Machinery and Transportation, the brigade immediately mobilized 55 officers and soldiers along with eight trucks to execute the mission.
Once given the order, Brigade 971 deployed personnel and vehicles to coordinate with the Joint Stock Company No.22 in transporting 40 tons of field rations to the cargo terminal of Noi Bai International Airport. Additionally, the brigade arranged trucks to transport 15 inflatable tents from Military Region 2 and hand them over to the Engineering Corps for their mission in Myanmar.
