Border Guard Command presents Tet gifts to units stationed in Si Ma Cai district, Lao Cai province
PANO – On January 20, a delegation of the Vietnam Border Guard Command, led by its Chief Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, visited and extended Tet (lunar New Year) greetings to troops at Si Ma Cai Border Station, the Lao Cai provincial Border Guard Command, and Si Ma Cai district’s Party Committee and People’s Committee.
Briefed on the district’s socio-economic and defense and security situations in the area, General Thai acknowledged the efforts and contribution of the local authorities, and their support for the border force in the locality.

As the lunar New Year 2022 is just around the corner, General Thai hoped that the local authorities would promote solidarity and overcome difficulties, contributing to building the comprehensively-strong border areas.

Visiting Si Ma Cai Border Post, General Thai asked the unit to promote their achieved results and build the comprehensively-strong unit, strictly ensure combat readiness, closely work with relevant forces to maintain social order and security in the areas, and bring a happy and safe Tet to its troops and people in the areas where they are stationed, among others.

Earlier, the delegation visited a checkpoint of Si Ma Cai Border Post and handed over gratitude houses to families of two students adopted by the post in San Chai commune, Si Ma Cai district.

On this occasion, the delegation also presented Tet gifts to Si Ma Cai Border Post and 42 needy households and children adopted by the post in the district.
