Over the past years, the department actively instructed units and schools in the whole army to well disseminate the law on prevention and control of tobacco harm among its troops. In 2015 and 2016 only, the department worked with military units and schools to hold 60 talks to disseminate tobacco harm, contributing to reducing the number of smokers and promoting a non-smoking environment in the army.

Addressing the ceremony, Luong Ngoc Khue, Head of the Department for Healthcare Management under the Ministry of Health and Director of the fund, underscored that the dissemination on tobacco harm achieved positive outcomes over the past time. He urged the Military Medical Department under the Ministry of National Defense and the Fund for Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harm to continue their cooperation to accelerate information dissemination in the time to come.

At the meeting, representatives of relevant units of the Border Guard Academy signed a commitment on building a non-smoking environment.
