The activities were attended by Senior Colonel Truong Thien An, Deputy Political Commissar of the provincial Military Command and Political Commissar of the Quang Ngai provincial Border Guard Command, along with local leaders.

At the tripoint marker, forces of the Quang Ngai provincial Border Guard Command briefed the young officers on its history. Specifically, the construction of the marker started on November 29, 2007, and it was inaugurated on January 18, 2008. It is located on a mountain peak at an altitude of 1,086m, 10km from Bo Y international border gate and 90km from Kon Tum ward of Quang Ngai province.

This location serves as the end point of the 2,337.459km Vietnam - Laos land border and the starting point of the 1,257.781km Vietnam - Cambodia land border. The area not only holds special importance in terms of defense, security, and foreign affairs but also has great tourism development potential for Quang Ngai province.

Lieutenant Colonel Soulibanh Sorphappanya, Deputy Head of the Army Youth Office and Head of the Lao People’s Army young officer delegation, expressed his honor and pride in visiting the marker. He affirmed that the trip would help spread the spirit of solidarity, enabling the younger generation to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors in nurturing the comprehensive friendship and cooperation, thereby building a border of peace and development.

Similarly, Colonel Nak Vicheck, Deputy Chief of the Army Office and Head of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces young officer delegation, highly valued the significance of the program. He considered it an opportunity for young officers of the three countries to learn from one another and tighten their special solidarity to maintain peace and border security, as well as to boost economic cooperation, bringing a prosperous life to the people.

On this occasion, the young officer delegations of the three countries offered incense at the Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple and presented gifts to schools, disadvantaged students, and impoverished households in Bo Y commune.
